Hunter Douglas Warranty

2 Years Limited Warranty

Fabrik Etc (collectively as we, our) provide a 2 Years Limited Warranty for its window fashion products.

Hunter Douglas window fashion products are covered for defects in materials, workmanship or failure to operate for 2 years from date of purchase.

Should any defects occur within the above said period, it shall subject to the terms herein, at its option either repair or replace any such defective parts as follows:

1st year : Motor and its parts – on site* free of charge
2nd year : Motor and its parts – free of charge but all transportations, delivery, handling, scaffolding and labour expenses are chargeable at standard cost to customers.

Covered

  • All internal mechanisms;
  • Components and brackets;
  • Motorized components;
  • Repair and/or replacement will be made with like or similar parts of products
  • Parts and factory labour for the 2nd year at vendor’s factory

Not Covered

  • Any conditions caused by normal wear and tear and also damage caused by act of nature (extreme weather, lightning, flood, fire, etc.)
  • Unauthorized repair, abuse, accidents, misuse or alterations to the product;
  • Product is upgraded from its stated purpose as described in instruction manual, without prior written consent of Fabrik Etc and Hunter Douglas Singapore;
  • Product’s serial number has been altered, removed or made illegal;
  • Exposure to elements (sun damage, wind, water/moisture) and discolouration over time;
  • Operation outside the product’s environment specification or failure to follow our operation instruction;
  • Improper setting of remote control by user;
  • Shipping charges, cost of removal and reinstallation.

NOTE:
In the event the products and/or parts are found to be defective, we reserve the right to repair it.
In no event shall Fabrik Etc and its vendors and contractors be liable or responsible for incidental or consequential damages or for any other indirect damage, lost, cost or expense.

Warranty Service Procedures

  1. The following must be presented to our service personnel for verification each time when warranty service or claim is required.
    When you request for service, kindly supply the following information:

    • Full Name and address
    • Invoice number and date
    • Telephone number and address
    • Description of symptom
  2. We reserve the right to repair or replace the product or its defective part with either new or refurbished spare part or product.
  3. Fabrik Etc may charge a test fee if the motor which a claim is made on was found on examination to comply with specification and /or not due to manufacturing defect.
  4. Any replaced old parts are not returnable.
  5. Operating hours / Estimate Charges:
    • Monday to Friday 10am to 5pm
    • Transport per trip = $40.00
    • Labour at site charges per item = $50 – $200 (depending on complexity and tediousness of work)
    • Repair charges per item = $50 – $300 (depending on complexity and tediousness of work)
    • Scaffolding charges (platform height up to 4 metres) = $350 per day

    Overtime rate:

    • For weekdays = 2 times normal rates
    • For Sunday and Public holiday and late night work = 3 times normal rates

Somfy Motor Warranty

5 Years Limited Warranty

Fabrik Etc (collectively as “we”, “our”) offers its customers a five-year warranty on its motors and controls from the date of manufacture.
Should any defects occur within the above said period, Somfy Singapore should subject to the terms herein, at its option either repair or replace any such defective parts as follows:

  • 1st year: Motor and its parts – on site* free of charge
  • 2nd to 5th year: Motor and its parts – free of charge but all transportations, delivery, handling, scaffolding and labour expenses are chargeable at standard cost to customers.

Covered

7 Years Limited Warranty

Fabrik Etc Pte Ltd (“Fabrik Etc”, “we”, “our”) offers its customers a seven-year warranty on its motors and controls, starting from the date of installation.

Covered

  1. All internal motor mechanisms.
  2. Motorised components.
  3. Repair and/or replacement will be made with like or similar parts of products.
  4. Parts, factory labour and transportation for the 2st year

Not Covered

  1. Any conditions caused by normal wear and tear and also damage caused by act of nature (extreme weather, lightning, flood, fire, etc.)
